Topic: Development of multifunctional liposomes for targeted drug delivery (TDD) in cancer therapy
The Regional Institute of Oncology – Iasi, Romania, is looking for talented Recognised Researchers (R2) - postdoc to apply to join our exciting multidisciplinary research team. The position is available in the H2020-WIDESPREAD-06-2020 - ERA Chairs grant running at the TRANSCEND research center. The project aims to strength excellence in TRANSCEND center by creating a multi- and inter-disciplinary team of highly-skilled and dedicated researchers in nanomedicine.

We are looking for talented, driven, and highly motivated early career and recognized researchers educated in chemistry, biology or related disciplines for development of liposomes and their assessment on cell cultures. Applicants should possess scientific curiosity, a strong work ethic and ability to engage in teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment.
The position is open to all EU and non-EU nationals but shall match the profile a “Recognised Researcher” (R2) as set out in the European Framework for Research Careers - Research profiles descriptors.

Proven experience in development of multifunctional liposomes by thin film hydration and microfluidics. (Experience in liposomes-biology interaction will be a plus in the decision for hiring) -High level of independence in performing the assigned tasks Critical analysis of the relevant literatures and the obtained experimental data Understanding new and complex concepts from the research topic |
- Perform research activities for the development of new nanoliposomes for controlled drug delivery for cancer therapy. - Coordinate the work of PhD and other students involved in the research topic. - Preparation ISI-ranked papers. - Planning new experiments for preparation of liposomes based on relevant literature - Contribution to the preparation of research projects/grants - Contributions to national and (inter-)national conferences. - Participation in trainings and other workshops, courses etc. necessary for professional development. |
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, nanomaterials, nanomedicine, and related or equivalent. - Minimum three years of experience in development of liposomes. - Detailed CV. - List of publication highlighting those associated with the scientific topic. - Motivation letter highlighting the achievements and interests in research. - Three recommendation letters. - Copies of diplomas (High school -> PhD) and transcripts of records. - Copy of ID or other identity document. - Declaration on one's own responsibility attesting that the candidate has no criminal history that would make her/him incompatible with the position for which she/he is applying.
